Star Wars. Rose Tico tornerà in Episodio IX – L’Ascesa di Skywalker. Nel film Gli Ultimi Jedi di Rian Johnson questo personaggio è servito allo sviluppo di Finn, come personaggio che passa da essere “traditore del Primo Ordine in fuga” a “convinto Ribelle”. Molto probabilmente le cose andranno diversamente per Rose nell’ultimo Star Wars di J.J. Abrams.
L’attrice Kelly Marie Tran è stata intervistata da Entertainment Weekly ed ha spiegato che questa volta ha passato molto tempo con Daisy Ridley. E’ stata molto felice di vedere Rose al fianco di Rey, visto che – a suo parere – le due condividono obiettivi simili.
Oggi non abbiamo informazioni sicure sul personaggio. Da alcune fonti (interviste e libri canonici) sappiamo che avrà un ruolo più importante nella Resistenza, mentre il suo rapporto con Finn non è mai iniziato veramente (era un sentimento unilaterale).
Dunque, ha trovato molto bello aver visto Rose e Rey insieme, perché nel precedente film non avevano scene in comune. Ha adorato sentire tutta quell’energia femminile sul set. Non può aggiungere di più, ma si deve soffermare a commentare l’interazione dei personaggi che la rende tanto entusiasta. E aggiunge che le due hanno un obiettivo comune: lottare per le cose in cui credono e per le persone che amano. Le loro azioni sono motivate dall’amore e considera tutto ciò qualcosa di potete e meraviglioso.
Kelly Marie Tran si è espressa così:
“I think it’s really cool that they are in scenes together, because, in The Last Jedi, we weren’t in any scenes together. So it was really cool just to have feminine energy on set. I wish I could tell you more, but I’m really excited for people to see them interact. I think they both have the same objective, which is to fight for the things that you believe in and to fight for the people that you love. And I think that that is, very much, something that they still live in this next movie. And I think that, if your actions are motivated by love, it’s such a powerful, wonderful thing. I think that really does carry out in this film in the things that we see Rose do.”
